Learning Outside the Classroom

We believe that learning shouldn't be restricted to the classroom - especially when we are lucky enough to have such beautiful surroundings! Our pupils and staff are constantly inspired by the outdoors and we make the most of our school grounds and local area as well as going on adventures slightly further afield.   

 

We believe that experiencing the outdoors in all weathers helps to build our resilience and gives us opportunities to experience things that we might miss if we stayed inside.  Our children are encouraged to keep a full set of waterproofs and welly boots at school so that they can go outside come rain or shine.

 

Learning outside of the classroom helps to ensure that the needs of every child are met, providing a wide range of opportunities and experiences in the wider world. We will always consider the most appropriate environment for each lesson focusing on both the learning and personal development of our children.
